Letter to your landlord requesting him for repairs in rented house
Dear Mr. Bannerjee,
I have been your tenant for the last four years and I have had no occasion in all these years to complain to you about the house. But now I am compelled to draw your attention to the fact that certain urgent repairs can no longer be postponed.
The whitewash and plaster are peeling off in patches at different places. Last night, while I was sleeping, a chunk of plaster fell off from the ceiling and I narrowly escaped from being injured. The roof is also leaking at several places.
If these repairs are not done in time, the building may be badly damaged and you would have to incur heavy expenses on this account in future. Moreover, the rainy season is about to set in and, if these are left unrepaired, we would be deprived of the minimum comfort of habitation as a tenant.
So I would request you to inspect the building personally and arrange for the repairs. This may please be treated as extremely urgent.
