Letter to the principal of a college requesting him to install a Canteen

Sub: Installation of a canteen
Sir,
I would like to draw your kind attention to a problem faced daily by the students in this college.
We do not have a canteen in the college. Though there is a private tea-stall, it is a long way off. Moreover, no substantial food is available there. But the students who come from distant places require some substantial food at lunch- hour. Otherwise, they do not find the energy and initiative to go on till the afternoon. We often have important classes in the afternoon. But by that time we are so hungry that we can hardly concentrate on the lectures. Hence, what we need is a good subsidized canteen inside the college campus.
We hope that you would be gracious enough to make arrangements to instal a canteen in the college campus as early as possible.
Yours obediently
