Sub: Purchasing essential reference books for the library
Sir,
We, the students of your school, beg to draw your kind attention to the following facts.
You know that the roll strength of our school has increased substantially during the last three years. But the number of books in the library has remained almost the same during the period. Most of the books are torn and worn out by over-use and rough handling. Some important dictionaries and reference books are not available in the library. Most of these books are expensive and every student can’t buy them. The students of Class X and XII have barely three or four months left before their Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations. Their preparations are being greatly hampered due to this reason. We also need some periodicals and journals to keep ourselves aware of the current developments in different subjects. We enclose herewith a list of the books that we need urgently.
We, therefore, appeal to you to arrange for purchasing some important dictionaries, reference books, current journals, and periodicals for the library at an early date.
Yours obediently
