In the past, people did not know so much, but they had the capacity to feel more. No wonder that spiritualism prevailed and poetry flourished. With the advance of science and technology, knowledge has become available in capsule form. Spiritualism has given way to materialism. Feelings have given way to factual learning. We have become mere robots or computers. They are becoming our masters instead of being servants. We know all that has been fed to us, but we have lost our sensitivity. Life has become so full of cares and worries that we have been left with no time to stand and stare. Blood has become thinner than water and the heart has become only a booster pump, Spirit and finer qualities of man has vanished. Poetry which was the out-pour of the inner feelings of man has now little space in our life. Science is proving to be both a blessing and a curse. But to be a complete man we must use both head and heart equally.
