Palashmandal
The proverb suggests that nothing great can be achieved ever without determined pursuit. It requires ceaseless efforts and sometimes sacrifice of ease and pleasure. Just as to get at the treasures hidden under the earth, one blasts mountains, goes into mines and undergoes other hardships. Every individual, however competent, shall have suffer much of ordeal to explore his inherent qualities and then gets perfection to distinguish himself in the chosen field. In everyday life, we cannot achieve anything simply by wishing with the aid of Aladin’s lamp. We have to work hard to channelize our potentialities with persistent efforts even in the face of heavy odds and obstacles. Even a genins cannot afford to produce his gifts without ceaseless efforts. It he shirks pains, he will get nothing significant. He has to put himself in pains to get the best results of his talents. Many a time he has to sacrifice certain comforts. He has to labour while others sleep; he has to dare while others remain contented with making castles in the air. Thus the proverb stands for generations — no pains, no gains.
